Q: What is Laser Tag at TAC-TX like? How is it different?
A: Laser tag has been around for over 30 years as a staple of family fun. Now TAC-TX in Corpus Christi, Texas puts a fresh spin on the old favorite. Gone are the days of wandering black light mazes just shooting at everything that flashes. TAC_TX uses modern technology to make the game relevant again. Players use cool looking battle rifles with holographic sights and recoil instead of flashy space phasors. There are no more heavy, sweaty vests either, they have been replaced with lightweight wireless headbands. The arena resembles a war torn military complex with immersive sound, DMX lighting, stacked shipping containers, and back alleys. The moment you walk in, you know this isn’t your daddy’s old fashioned laser tag. Gameplay has been updated too. Conquest, King of the Hill, and Search and Destroy are just a few of the tactical missions you will encounter. These missions are just like the ones found in modern video games but at TAC-TX it is as real as it gets.
You can play TAC-TX with a group of friends, coworkers, your family, or come by yourself and join in with others. TAC-TX is great for players ages 8 to 80. If you want the most exciting birthday party or a company outing they won’t forget, have a TAC-TX event.
Q: Is there a height or age requirement for laser tag?
A: We do recommend 8 years old and up but kids as young as 6 may play. Our laser tag was designed for adults…  this means the kids really love it! However some younger kids are not prepared for the intensity of the game or the dramatic music and lighting. We have had younger kids play and love it and we have had some scream and run out the door. The way we see it, you know your child better than we do so it’s really up to you. Keep in mind, there are no refunds so consider it carefully. A good rule of thumb is whether or not you would be comfortable with your child playing by themselves, without you being beside them.

Q: How much does it cost and how long is a game?
A: We sell laser tag by the Session. A Session takes about a half hour and includes 3 different missions. A Session is $15 per person plus tax. Most people feel that a session is quite a workout but it is so much fun they want to go again.

Q: How big is the arena? What is it like?
A: Our battlefield is multi story! The design resembles modern video game maps. There are custom sound tracks and DMX lights to immerse players into the game. We hear over and over again… It is just like playing Call of Duty in real life.

Q: Is it safe? Does it hurt?
A: Our lasers are made of infrared light. It is pretty much a focused TV remote. Totally safe and pain free

Q: Do I need to make a reservation for Open Play?
A: No reservations are needed for Open Play Sessions. We will put you with the next available Session. If there is a wait it is normally less than half an hour. Before you play you will need to create your personal Callsign and log in then watch a short briefing video.

Q: Will I be playing with other people? Can my group play by ourselves?
A: If you really want to have a private experience you can either buy out the entire session or book a private group. We do not recommend this unless you have 20 or more people in your group. Tactical Laser Tag is fun with just a few people but it is really fun with a bunch of people. Most small groups and families end up enjoying playing alongside other small groups and families. We make every effort to balance teams based on numbers and experience levels to give everyone a great time.

Q: Are you hiring?
A: TAC-TX is always looking for great people to join our team.

What Our Customers Are Saying

I was looking for something fun and different for my 14 year old's birthday. I found this place online and it sounded like it would be perfect, and it was! It's not the normal cheesy black light Laser Tag, it's like live call of duty. My gamer son loved it, and so did the rest of us. It was AWESOME!
